Catholic Schools Week: January 31-
February 5
Dear Existing and Prospective Trinity Families:
In the last few years, some of us have come to
view our economic and material security in a different light as we
have seen the return from our financial investments dwindle. The
2010 theme for Catholic Schools Week, ‘‘Dividends for Life – Faith,
Knowledge, Discipline, and Morals’’ comes with a guarantee of a less
tangible nature, but it reminds us that our most valuable assets,
our children, are where the promise of a better future lies.
Catholic
schools in the United States are internationally acclaimed for their
academic excellence, but they also ensure a broad, values-added
education that emphasize the life-long development of moral,
intellectual, physical and social values in our young citizens
Of the over two million American children who
are currently enrolled in Catholic Schools, nearly fifteen per cent
are non-Catholics whose parents have decided to place them in a
faith-based educational environment because:
- The Nation’s Catholic schools emphasize
the lifelong development of moral, intellectual, physical, and
social values in addition to academic excellence.
- The average student-teacher ratio is 14 to
1.
- The Catholic high school graduation rate
is 99 percent, with 80 percent of graduates attending four-year
colleges and 17 percent attending two-year colleges or technical
schools.
Trinity Academy takes great pride in its the
Pre-K program that is housed in our Roseland campus and the K
through grade 8 school that is located on Bloomfield Avenue in
Caldwell. Our graduates go on to achieve impressive scholastic and
personal success in the most academically challenging private high
schools in New Jersey and gain acceptance into our nation’s armed
forces academies and most prestigious colleges and universities.
More importantly, the graduates of Trinity
Academy become self-actualized citizens who acknowledge their
responsibility to honor their families and serve their communities.
The faculty, staff and administration celebrate
“Catholic Schools Week 2010” and acknowledge the commitment of the
parents and parishioners who recognize the importance of school
choice and support faith-based educational experiences for American
children.
Sincerely,
