Extra-Curricular Programming

Trinity Academy Builder’s Club

The Builder’s Club is an international student-led organization providing it’s members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership.  The Builder’s Club of Trinity Academy is sponsored by the Community Kiwanis Club.  All the Junior High Students (grades 6, 7, and 8) of Trinity Academy are invited to join The Builder’s Club, and serve our community.

The Builder’s Club is lead by Mrs. Hirsch.  The meetings are held monthly at lunch hour, and as needed for service projects.  Contact Mrs. Hirsch if you are interested in joining.

Drama Club

Trinity Academy Drama Club is open to all students in grades five through eight.  The actors and actresses learn about stage presence, timing, improvisation, annunciation, stage management, and lighting.  Most importantly, they learn to work as a group and to have confidence in their own talents.  Mrs. Kelly King is the moderator of the Drama Club and can be contacted through the Drama Club mailbox in the main office.

Liturgical Choir

The Liturgical Choir is a volunteer group that performs at all 1st Friday Masses as well as at special services throughout the school year.  The choir meets every Thursday morning at 8:00 am for rehearsals.  This special performance ensemble is open to all students of Trinity Academy in grades 4 through 8.  Special soloists perform along with the choir.

Currently there are 70 members in our Liturgical Choir.  Any interested students should contact the director or coordinator to join.

Principal's Advisory Board

The objective of the Principal's Advisory Board is to build a better union and communication within the community of our school and to enhance the interest and initiatives of all our students in extra curricular activities, both academic and social.  Our goal is to contribute to the total educational process of Trinity Academy. Representatives are selected early in the school year.

  • 30-minute small group lessons are given once a week during regular school hours.  They are on a rotating schedule to ensure that students do not miss the same academic period each week.
  • Beginners are grouped by like instruments.  Advanced students can be grouped in ensembles of different instruments based on their ability.
  • When qualified, students will also receive a band rehearsal, either before or after school.
  • If you do not own an instrument, Future Musicians recommends that you rent one from our preferred dealers.  Rental forms are available in the school office.
  • Tuition – Parents have several options for payment and should see the enrollment form, available in the school office, for the current tuition fees.
  • Tuition is for lessons only – it does not cover the cost of the instrument rental.
Forms are available in the school office.

Forensics

Forensics is a team of students from grades 6 through 8, who enjoy the art of public speaking, which enhances a student’s skill in poise, self-esteem, presentation skills, leadership, and memorization, as well as competition.  In Forensics, students compete with other schools in Oral Interpretation, Extemporaneous Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, and Original Oration (Persuasive and Informative).  There are several competitions during the school year.

Thank you to all of our parents and teachers who help support our Forensics team.  We are sure that our technique of public speaking will improve under the direction of the advisors.  If you wish to learn more about our forensics program, the club meets Thursday after school from 3 until 4 in Room 204.
