A Catholic Community of Learning

Trinity Academy is cosponsored by the parishes of St. Aloysius in Caldwell, Notre Dame in North Caldwell, and Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Roseland. Our primary mission is to provide our students with the means for growth in Christian principles and the pursuit of academic excellence. The dedication of our educators, parents, and parishes creates a loving and nurturing environment for students to acquire self-esteem, knowledge of the world, and gospel values.

We provide a positive educational experience that respects the uniqueness of each child, and encourages the development of the whole person, within a strong Christian environment. The entire school community - Pastors, teachers, parents, staff, and administration work in cooperation toward the spiritual, academic, and social development of each child.

Spiritually we offer our students the Catholic values that will enable them to make moral, intelligent, and knowledgeable decisions. Academically we instill in our students the knowledge, skills, and desire for learning that will enable them to pursue excellence and become the leaders of tomorrow. Socially we strive to foster in our students a sense of personal fulfillment and responsibility towards all people and the environment.

Outstanding Educational Programs

Trinity Academy - Kindergarten through Eighth Grade located at our Caldwell Campus, provides facilities for our Elementary School Program, which includes a full day Kindergarten, and our departmentalized Junior High Program.

Trinity Academy Early Childhood Center located at our Roseland Campus, offers Pre-School Programs for children ages three to five. For more information on these programs, please contact the Early Childhood Center, (973) 226-4252.

Begin with Excellent Educators

One of the hallmarks of our school is our excellent educators. Our state-certified classroom teachers have an average teaching experience of 10 to 15 years. A large number of our teachers possess advanced degrees in their field of expertise and are encouraged to continue pursuing additional certifications.

In keeping with our Academy status, we have instructors dedicated to Technology, Science, Library, Physical Education, Art, Music, and Foreign Language. We also maintain certified staffing for our Resource Room, Guidance Office, and Nurse's Office. Our administration consists of Pastors, Principal, Vice Principal, Early Childhood Director, and full time administrative staff.

Trinity is pleased to offer an on-site Before and After Care Program. This program is administered and staffed by certified teachers who are assisted by interns from the Caldwell College Education Department.

Encouraging Student and Family Participation
The Trinity Academy experience encourages student and family participation in various special activities and programs. These special extra-curricular activities and programs provide opportunities for continued growth in the spiritual, academic, and social areas.
Religious Programs
Many of our special activities revolve around the religious aspect of our education. All students attend special liturgies for Lent, Advent, the October Rosary Devotion, and the May Crowning. The students also participate in planning and celebrating our monthly First Friday Mass.

Student Activities and Events
A wide variety of programs are offered that include: special class assemblies, school theatre productions, Catholic Schools Week activities, Earth Day events, Science Fair, field trips, Drop Everything and Read Program, Scholastic Book Fair, Field Day, Christmas Concert, musical instrument instruction, Santa Shop, Scouting, and Peer Relationship Counseling.
Athletic Programs
Trinity Academy offers a variety of athletics for boys and girls. Our Athletic Director oversees individual committees which run extensive soccer, basketball, softball, and baseball programs. All programs run from grades three through eight, with soccer beginning in Kindergarten. Our teams consistently garner championships in their respective leagues.
Junior High Program
Eighth grade students develop the school yearbook. Students are also involved in Forensics, Builder's Club, Drama Club, Junior High Dances, Principal's Advisory Board, and Health Education Programs.

Family Activities and Programs
Family participation is encouraged at Trinity Academy. Some of the programs that we offer for families include our on-site Before and After Care Program, a Daily Healthy and Nutritional Lunch Program, and our Annual Family Picnic. We also ask that parents volunteer for various Home School Association activities as well as participate in our fund raising events.

Community Spirit and Social Awareness Programs
We encourage our students to be active participants in our community both spiritually and socially. In that effort we support various community based programs including: Caldwell senior citizen events, neighborhood cleanup and beautification, food collections for food pantries, Toys for Tots, and various Mission programs.

Commitment to Technology

We are dedicated to integrating technology into our strong academic program as an essential element of instruction. Our students will come to use technology as a natural tool for learning, and to enrich and enhance their educational experience. Our technology center and classrooms are fully networked and we provide supervised Internet access from all workstations. Our library is also computerized using a bar code system that incorporates cataloging, library search, book availability and sign-out.

Continuing Academic Excellence
Our students continue to achieve honors, scholarships, and academic acceptance to prestigious high schools such as Mount St. Dominic Academy, St. Peter's Prep, Seton Hall Prep, Regis, DePaul, Lacordaire Academy, Oratory Prep, Delbarton, Montclair Kimberly Academy and many others. Additionally, our students consistently score above national averages on the annual Terra Nova standardized tests.
